What Do I Need To Do If I Am Moving Exchanges?



If you're planning to switch your connected exchange to FinRev, this article can serve as both a guide and a checklist.


Moving Exchanges Checklist:


  1. Close all of your FinRev positions


  2. Create an account on your new exchange


  3. Create a subaccount on your new exchange (if required)


  4. Transfer funds from your old exchange to your new exchange


  5. Log the withdrawal of the funds in your FinRev account


  6. Transfer funds into your new subaccount (if required)


  7. Log the deposit of funds in your FinRev account


  8. Create a new API key on your new exchange


  9. Connect the new API to FinRev

Closing All Positions & Withdrawing Your Funds


Please follow the appropriate guide below to close all of your positions only. Once you have created an account on your new exchange, you can return to this guide for instructions on withdrawing your funds from your old exchange and depositing them into your new exchange.

Creating a Subaccount On Your New Exchange & Funding It


FinRev supports five exchanges. They are:


  • Bybit
  • Binance
  • Kucoin
  • Bitget
  • dYdX

Once you have selected your new exchange, you will need to create an account. You can do this by clicking on the exchange name, and clicking on the ‘Sign Up’ button on the website.


After setting up an account with your new exchange, use the guide below to create a subaccount and fund it.

Please note that you must fund the subaccount with USDT only, and you must ensure it has been transferred to the futures/derivatives part of the subaccount.


Creating an API Key & Connecting It To FinRev


Once you have created a subaccount & funded it, you will need to create an API key & connect it to FinRev so that there is an open channel of communication between the 2.
