DY - How to Fund Your dYdX Account Using Metamask on the Arbitrum (ARB) network

Note: This is an alternate method to fund your dYdX account using the ARB network in order to save some $ on fees. If you do not have any experience in the cryptocurrency space it is recommend that you follow our standard funding method using the ETH network laid out in our guides:

1. Add the Arbitrum (ARB) network to your Metamask wallet

Please follow all of the steps from our guide linked below to add the Arbitrum network to your Metamask wallet:

Once you've completed all of the steps in the guide linked above, please proceed with the next step of this guide.

2. Fund your Metamask wallet with USDC on the Arbitrum (ARB) network

Please follow all of the steps from the appropriate guide linked below to send USDC to your Metamask wallet on the Arbitrum network:

Once you've completed the transfer of USDC to your Metamask wallet, please repeat the exact same process but transfer ETH instead of USDC.

Once you've completed all of the steps in the guide linked above as well as transferred a small amount of ETH to your Metamask wallet, please proceed with the next step of this guide.

3. Fund Your dYdX Account

1. Once you've logged onto dydx.trade, Click on 'Deposit' in the top right hand side of your screen

2. Click 'Standard'
3. Select 'Source: Arbitrum'
4. Select 'Asset: Arbitrum USDC'
5. Enter the amount you wish to deposit
6. Click 'Switch Network'

7. Click 'Deposit Funds'

8. Follow the prompts to grant all approvals

9. Allow up to 5 minutes and refresh the page. You should now see your USDC balance reflected in your dYdX account.
