HL04 | TG - How to transfer ETH & USDC to a Tangem On The Arbitrum Network
Please ensure that you have followed the previous steps in our master guide for connecting FinRev with Hyperliquid before completing this step.
HL02 | TG - How to connect Hyperliquid to FinRev using Tangem Wallet
Important Note for US & UK users: Please ensure you have activated your VPN & set the location to Sydney, Australia prior to logging onto the Hyperliquid website.
- Go to Coinbase, and go to the My Assets tab:
- Click on “Send crypto” in the menu at the bottom right:
That will bring up this dialog box:
- Open the Tangem app on your phone and make sure you are on the home screen.
Note: You can see that I already have ETH on the Arbitrum One network listed in my portfolio as “Arbitrum One (ETH)”, so I would just tap on that and skip to step 9 of this guide.
- If you don’t already have ETH on Arbitrum One listed, use the search bar at the bottom of the screen to search for “ETH”:
[NOTE: Bitcoin and Ethereum are both preloaded into the Tangem Portfolio when you set it up, so you might wonder why you have to search “Ethereum” here instead of just tapping on it in the list. The answer is that everything in the portfolio list is network specific, and the pre-populated ETH is specifically on the Ethereum network. So tapping on it will just bring that up. To find ETH on other networks you have to search.]
- Tap on 'Ethereum' in the search results:
- Then tap on the “+ Add” button to add ETH on a new network:
- Toggle on the “ARBITRUM ONE MAIN L2” network.
- Click “Continue” button at the bottom of the page
It should now appear in your portfolio on the home screen:
Note: If you’re just adding it for the first time your balance will be $0.00. In my case there is already a small amount there
- Tap on “Arbitrum One (ETH)” in your portfolio list
- Tap on the “Receive” button:
That will bring up the address to send your ETH to on the Arbitrum One network:
- If you’re using an iPhone and Mac connected to the same Apple ID, you can simply hit the copy button at the bottom of the screen in the Tangem app, and then go over to your Mac and paste into the box on Coinbase:
Note: If you can’t do this, you'll need to send the wallet address to an email or messaging app that you can access from the computer
- Click on 'Add Contact'
- Give the saved contact a name
- Click the “Save” button:
- Click on the address you just saved
- Next, choose the token to send (in this case ETH):
- Make sure you’re sending on the correct network, that matches with the network you chose at the destination (in this case Arbitrum):
- Click on 'Yes, it's supported'
- Enter the amount you want to send. If you want to send all that you have available to send (which will be shown near the bottom of the dialog box) just hit the “Max” button.
- Check the transaction details. As a double check, make sure that the first 4 and last 4 characters of the address match the address you got from Tangem, and also that the network is correct.
NOTE: this part is very important - if you try to send to the wrong address, or select the wrong network, you WILL lose your tokens.
- If everything looks correct, hit the “Send now” button:
- At this point you may be asked to verify the transaction with 2FA or a passkey. Once you’ve completed that, you should get a confirmation that the ETH has been sent:
- Click the “Done” button to close the dialog box.
- Go back to the Tangem app on your phone to confirm that the ETH has been received there. It may take a couple of minutes to arrive, so don’t be concerned if it’s not immediate:
If it hasn’t arrived after a couple of minutes, it’s likely that Coinbase is holding it pending further verification or completion of one of their scam test. Check your email inbox and/or notifications on Coinbase, and complete whatever verification they ask for.
- Navigate back to your Coinbase account
- Click on 'My Assets > Cash (You should see your USDC balance there)
- Click “Send USDC” in the menu on the right hand side.
That will bring up the same dialog box as in the ETH transfer, asking for the address to send to.
You should be able to send to the address that you saved in the previous step, even though you’re sending USDC this time rather than ETH, because both are being sent on the Arbitrum One network and Tangem has a single Arbitrum receiving address.
- Click on your saved Tangem address
- Double check that the address matches by going back to your Tangem app and pulling up the receiving address for USDC on Arbitrum One:
- Once you’ve selected & verified the address, choose the network (Arbitrum again)
- Enter the amount you wish to send in exactly the same way as you did for ETH.
That should bring you to the confirmation screen:
- Again, make sure you double check the address and the network!
- Click “Send now” to initiate the transaction. Once it is confirmed by Coinbase, you can then head back over to the Tangem app to verify that the USDC arrives in your Tangem wallet:
That’s it! You now have ETH and USDC, both on the Arbitrum One network, in your Tangem wallet.
