KC02 - How To Connect/Reconnect Kucoin API With FinRev

Setting Up Your API


  1. Go to Profile > Account Security


    • Enable the 2FA and under Google Verification using your phone app to scan and complete the 2FA.


    • Trading Password: Change or Create a new Trading Password for your sub-account

  1. When finished, logout from your sub-account


  2. Login to Main KuCoin Account with that Email and password


  3. To set up your API > Hover over your profile icon


  4. Select: 'Sub-Account'


  5. Click on ‘Settings’ and Select View API

  1. Click on Green button on the next page to Create API

  1. Enter an API name

  2. Enter an API passphrase


    Note: this a new passphrase, not your account password. Please record your passphrase wherever you save your login credentials, as you won't be able to view the passphrase if you forget it afterwards.


  3. Select the following settings:


  • Spot Trading
  • Margin Trading
  • Futures Trading

  • IP restriction: No


  1. Select: 'Next'


  1. Check 'I'm not a robot' and complete recatcha verification

  1. Complete the security verification
  2. Select: 'Confirm'
    • Your API credentials will now be displayed

  1. Copy and Paste the API information to a word doc and save. 
  2. Select: 'Confirm’

Connecting Kucoin to FinRev


  1. Log in to your FinRev account at https://finrev.trade
  2. Hover over your account name in the top right corner
  3. Select: 'Manage Account'
  4. Select: 'API Credentials'
  5. Enter the following details:
  • Exchange - Kucoin
  • API Key - copy from Kucoin and paste here
  • API Secret - copy from Kucoin and paste here
  • Pass Phrase - enter the pass phase selected when setting up the API key
  • Select 'Save'

  1. Your Kucoin account is now connected to the FinRev portal.
