HL - How to Transfer Funds Already on Hyperliquid Directly to a Hardware Wallet Secured Hyperliquid Account

Important Note for US & UK users: Please ensure you have activated your VPN & set the location to Sydney, Australia prior to logging onto the Hyperliquid website.

The following guide is for anyone who has their HYPE or other assets in a Metamask or Coinbase wallet connected Hyperliquid account, and wants to transfer it to a more secure hardware wallet account.

This guide assumes that:

• You have already created a new Hyperliquid account with your hardware wallet
• You are logged into your Metamask or Coinbase wallet connected Hyperliquid account and have enabled trading
• If your HYPE was staked, you have unstaked it and moved it to Spot

1. At the bottom of the Trade screen, you should see in your Spot Balance the HYPE or other asset that you have available to send to another account
2. Click “Send”

3. Enter the Arbitrum address of the hardware wallet account that you connected to Hyperliquid in 'Destination'.
4. Ensure 'Spot Account' is selected if sending your previously staked HYPE
5. Select the correct asset (in this case HYPE)
6. Enter the amount you wish to send
7. Click 'Send'

8. Click 'I confirm'
9. Click 'Send'

Note: Remember, this is a transfer between Hyperliquid accounts on the Hyperliquid L1.

That will trigger an approval in the connected wallet (Metamask or Coinbase wallet)

11. Click 'Confirm'

The HYPE will now immediately disappear from the source account and appear in the destination account. The transfer has been instantaneous every time we’ve tested it.
