HL03 | TZ - How to link your Trezor to Hyperliquid

Please ensure that you have followed the previous steps in our master guide for connecting FinRev with Hyperliquid before completing this step.

HL02 | TZ - How to connect Hyperliquid to FinRev using Trezor

Important Note for US & UK users: Please ensure you have activated your VPN & set the location to Sydney, Australia prior to logging onto the Hyperliquid website.

1. Set Up a New Metamask

1. Go to www.metamask.io/download
2. Click on 'Get Metamask'

3. Click on 'Add to Chrome'

4. Click on 'Add Extension'

5. Click on the checkbox to agree to the Terms Of Use

6. Click on 'Create new wallet'
7. Click on 'Agree'

8. Type in a password
9. Confirm your new password
10. Click on the checkbox to confirm you understand
11. Click on 'Create New Wallet'

12. Click on 'Secure My Wallet'

13. Click on 'Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase'
14. Write down your Secret Recovery Phrase somewhere safe.

Critical Note: Your Secret Recovery Phrase is a unique 12-word phrase generated when you first set up MetaMask. It allows you to recover your wallet and funds if you ever lose your password. It is crucial to keep this phrase secure and never share it with anyone.

Your account cannot be recovered without this phrase, should you lose the password. Failure to record this phrase can result in you losing access to your Metamask account & the funds within it.

Failure to store this phrase securely can result in an unauthorised third party gaining access to your wallet, and potentially lead to a loss of funds.

Never share this phrase with anybody as it grants them full access to your wallet.

15. Confirm your Secret Recovery Phrase by filling in the blank boxes.
16. Click on 'Confirm'

17. Click on 'Done'

18. Click on 'Next'

19. Click on 'Done'

20. In your browser, click on the puzzle piece icon
21. Click on the pin icon next to Metamask

You should now see the Fox icon (Metamask) in your extension toolbar on your browser

2. Link Trezor to Metamask

1. Ensure your Trezor device is plugged into your computer
2. Click on the 'Metamask' icon in your toolbar to open your Metamask account
3. Click on 'Account 1' to bring up the dropdown menu

4. Click 'Add account or hardware wallet'

5. Click 'Hardware wallet'

6. Click 'Trezor'
7. Click 'Continue'

8. Click on your device from the list
9. Click 'Connect'

10. Click 'Allow once for this session'

11. Click 'Export'

12. Follow the instructions on your Trezor device

13. If you are currently using any of your your Trezor accounts for other purposes, select the first Trezor account that is not in use. If your device is new and has never been used, select Account 1.

Note: it's important that you use a unique account for FinRev so your other trading activities do not interfere with your FinRev account

14. Click 'Unlock'

15. Click on the wallet name to bring up the dropdown menu

16. Ensure you're accessing the account that is marked as 'Trezor'

Preparing Your New Wallet

1. Click on the network menu on the left of your Metamask screen

2. Click on 'Add' next to 'Arbitrum One'

3. Click on 'Approve'

4. You should now be automatically switched to 'Arbitrum One' network

5. Click on the 3 dots

6. Click on 'Import Tokens'

7. Ensure 'Arbitrum One' is selected
8. Search 'USDC'
9. Click on 'USDC'
10. Click 'Next'

11. Click on 'Import'

12. You should now see 'USDC' in your Metamask wallet

Connect Your New Wallet to Hyperliquid

1. Head over to hyperliquid.xyz/trade
2. Click on your Metamask browser extension
3. Ensure that you've got your new 'Trezor' wallet account open
4. Ensure you're on the 'Arbitrum' network

5. Click on 'Connect'

6. Select 'Metamask'

7. Ensure that the correct account is being connected
8. Click 'Connect'

You should now see your wallet address in the top right hand side of the screen

9. Click on 'Enable Trading'

10. Click 'Stay Connected'
11. Click 'Establish Connection'

12. Click 'Confirm'

13. Click 'Allow for this session'

14. Click 'Export'

15. Click 'Allow once for this session'

16. Follow the instructions on your device
