MEXC Account Setup & Funding

The following lesson will guide you through creating your MEXC account and funding the account with cryptocurrency.


Important Note: If you are based in the US, you will need to activate a VPN and set the location to Australia prior to logging onto the MEXC website every single time.


It's also important that you do not complete any kind of identity verification, KYC or enter your phone number to the platform at any point. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the exchange closing your account.



Setting Up Your MEXC Account


  1. Log onto https://mexc.com
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click 'Next'

  1. Click 'Confirm'

  1. Click 'OK'

  1. Locate the email in your inbox and follow the prompts to reset your password & log into your new MEXC account


Securing Your MEXC Account

  1. Once logged into your MEXC account, click on 'Security' from the menu on the left

  1. Click on 'Link Google Authenticator'

  1. Click on 'Next'

  1. If you haven't already, download the 'Google Authenticator' app on your phone/tablet
  2. Open the Google Authenticator app on your phone/tablet
  3. Click on the 'Plus' icon

  1. Click on 'Scan a QR Code'

  1. Hold your device's camera up to the QR code on the screen
  2. You should now see a new Authenticator code titled 'MEXC: your email address'

  1. Click 'Next'

  1. Click on 'Get Code'
  2. Find the mail in your email inbox
  3. Enter the code in the 'Email Verification Code' box
  4. Enter the 6 digit Google Authenticator code from your phone in the 'Authenticator Code' box
  5. Click 'Submit'

  1. You should now see a confirmation that 2FA security has been enabled on your account

Funding Your MEXC Account


  1. Click on 'Deposit' in the top right of your screen

  1. Select 'Deposit Crypto'

  1. Click 'Skip'

  1. Select the cryptocurrency you wish to deposit
  2. Select the network you wish to use to complete the transfer (it's important that you select the same network on the exchange that you are transferring from or the funds may be lost and irrecoverable.
  3. Click on the 'Copy' icon next to the wallet address

  1. From your exchange account you wish to transfer from, click on the 'Assets' menu, then select 'Withdraw':

  1. This will take you to the Assets Overview page. Select 'Withdraw'.


A withdrawal pop-up box will open on the screen.


  1. Complete the following:
    • Select: On-chain Withdrawal
    • Coin: Whatever coin you wish to transfer
    • Wallet Address: paste the wallet address from BloFin
    • Use the drop-down arrow to select the Chain Type (i.e the transfer network) - e.g. TRC20, ERC20
    • Enter the amount (or select 'All' if transferring the entire balance)
    • Select: Submit

You should also receive confirmation from your destination wallet provider once the deposit has been confirmed through the blockchain.


Transferring Funds To Your Futures Account (not required)


If you'll be using MEXC to trade futures, you'll need to transfer the funds to the futures section of your account first.


  1. Hover your mouse over the 'Wallets' heading in the top right of the screen
  2. Click on 'Overview'

  1. Click on 'Transfer'

  1. From: Spot Account
  2. To: Futures Account
  3. Select the cryptocurrency you wish to transfer
  4. Amount: Enter the amount you wish to transfer to the futures section of your account
  5. Click 'Transfer'
